Our History
On 19 May 2007, seven friends in North Charleston, South Carolina who rode and traveled together, decided to take a weekend ride to Jacksonville Florida. During our trip, we met the President (Hot Wing) and Treasurer (Money) of the Jacksonville Chapter. We ask them about the Buffalo Soldiers Motorcycle Club. Hot Wing was very happy to have us visit with them and the rest of the day was spent riding all over Jacksonville meeting and fellowshipping with other bike clubs. We were treated like they knew us for years. We all were impressed at how well we were received.
Hot Wing talked with us and explained how organized the club and organization was, and he also talked about the requirements, months, mileage and obligation.
After returning to Charleston, the seven of us got together and discussed what would be our next move. This discussion did not last long at all. Everyone decided that this would be the road we would take, and start doing what it would take to become Buffalo Soldiers.
Sometime in September, I contacted the President of the South Carolina Mother Chapter and he agreed to meet with us. And that was when something GREAT started. At that time the South Carolina Mother Chapter was being restructured, so we were Welcomed as "Probies" in the Columbia South Carolina Chapter, under the leadership of their President (Homewrecker) and Vice President (Smoke). These two guys really showed us what Buffalo Soldiers was all about. We all owe the Columbia Chapter a debt of gratitude for their strict guidence and strong leadership.
We were granted permission to start the 77th Chapter of the Buffalo Soldiers and Troopers Motorcycle Club of North Charleston, South Carolina on October 4th, 2008.
